I like the idea of adding all the old maps into GTA V. Rockstar's already done the work, just put it all together? Special Thanks to all the modders picking up Rockstar's slack!Country: Canada Age: 22
@kennyl4d Interesting. So that proves that the street names ARE possible. Hopefully it's as simple as adding the gxt2 text table and the popzone.ipl from LC 1.01 to 3.0, and then altering the coordinates in popzone.ipl to be accurate to the moved map. At least I think that's how it works, there are far more qualified people who are free to refute me.
@ItsMos is on to something here. LC 1.01 and Liberty Cry both have area names, which use the popzone.ipl as well as the DLC Text file in dlcpacks/ny/. These area names, however, are NOT present in Vice Cry West or Liberty City Moved 3.0. Even if full street names can't be added, I'd love to see updated popzone.ipl's for these map versions that add area names, like Liberty Cry! Obviously I'd like to see full street names, but either way having the area names pop up in the bottom right does a lot for immersion! Thanks again @elcreador for your continued amazing work!
Alright, cool. Glad to hear there's no inherit problems with it. With the new Disable-enable maps scripts you and Rechkunov just added, it should be more stable than ever to get VC west working with LC 3.0 and SF/LV. Thanks so much dude, you really are a legend. Imagine if GTA Online got updates like this
Hey, @elcreador, I noticed that although the interiorsny included with Vice Cry West is larger than the one in Liberty City Moved 3.0, (1.5GB vs 1.1GB), it doesn't include/load the actual liberty city interiors, like safehouses and Burger Shots. Is that intentional? Because I'm wondering if there's a compatibility issue, I'd love to have Vice City in the west along with all of the Liberty City interiors. Thanks again for all your hard work!
