This is the model found in the Nintendo Gigaleak from July 2020. (Exactly 24 years and a month after the game release)
Alongside with many early assets from various Nintendo 64 games, there were also stuff from the Shoshinkai 1995 build of SM64, including a beta model of the long lost Luigi.
