@GTAHeavyImpact Alternatives for what? Wipers? Right now there is no alternative. At least I'm not aware of the existence.
Even if there was some kind of separate script, I would not make an adaptation. From my point of view this is absolutely pointless. (Just like I don't adapt my mods to ELS or EPM - I just don't use these scripts myself. My opinion is that a minimum load is needed, and these scripts add a bunch of hotkeys. If I wanted to play the piano and not drive a car in the game, then I would buy a piano, not GTA 4. And I'm absolutely thrilled that Zolika added the ability to make headlights like Hakumai's for any car. Because it works on its own, without my participation, I don't need to press any buttons. Wipers can be done the same way, true, but wipers are a different story.)
My opinion about the working steering wheel is exactly the same - a working steering wheel in GTA 4 is not really needed.
I am adapting my mods to ZolikaPatch simply because I use ZPatch myself and it is not difficult for me to "revive" the steering wheel for people who may need it.
The game does not have FPV, there are mods that allow you to simulate this, true, but the game itself is not adapted for this view.
All animations are very sharp, driving a vehicle with FPV causes no positive emotions, only nausea.
It’s all great when people do things like this, this way they reveal themselves, their potential, and develop their skills. But nevertheless, in order for the game to have an enjoyable FPV, the entire game needs to be remade.
What about the wipers? You are unlikely to notice their work in the game. Moreover, there are no drops on the glass in the game, which, again, only emphasizes the absolute uselessness.
It might be called a bit of immersiveness, but I can live without it.
I believe that almost the only person who could bring wipers to the game is Zolika, but he left the GTA scene.
But even if he comes back and does it, I'm unlikely to add the work of the wipers to my mods. It's a pain in the a** to adjust the local axes so that the wipers move at least somewhat approximately near the glass.
In real life, wipers are elastic things that are adjacent to the windshield, floating according to its shape. In the game you have a solid mesh, a stick, it can't do the same thing. So why bother?

@GTAHeavyImpact Welp, my opinion is the same as about wipers.
There is no FPV in the game, you will never notice any arrows actually moving. Plus, not all arrows can be implemented correctly. At least that's my guess. I've seen a couple of scripts that allow you to make the arrows movable, but I very much doubt that I will try to do this and that I need it.
If you look at the speedometer of this Chrysler, you will notice that the speedometer needle there should not move along a uniform curve, but along a kind of parabola.
I'm not sure if scripts can do this.
