You can use it, fps won't be very good though .Common misconception (thanks to idiots spreading lies) is that ENB has minimum requirements. It runs on almost every system, only the performance is determined by the system.

Best graphics for SA today. Only the FPS is low. I have a R9 290 and get 20-25 FPS and a friend of mine who has a GTX970 has the same. Also, AA is not enabled when using ENB? It's enabled in my settings but in game it doesn't look like there is any AA.. Good job so far, I hope for a performance update

I also hope this can be fixed.

Btw, have you considered to cache some of the computation between frames? E.g., you said that the sky is physics-based, so maybe you could cache the sky in a skydome texture and update it only every second frame. Maybe this could be done for all geometry that is further away than some threshold.

Another idea, how about doing the pixelshading in a lower resolution, than the actual display resolution. E.g., the result of a complex computation could be reused for four neighbouring pixels, and that computation is then combined with the texture color of the pixels in the actuall resolution. E.g. have complex computations in a resolution 1000x500 and use it to with simpler computations in 2000x1000 (roughly).

It looks like a complete remake of GTA SA

@goodidea82 I'm very well aware of such optimization techniques ,however those are not possible within ENB's very restricted system. The clouds of SEUS for example are drawn at a lower res and upscaled, however this would only be possible with alpha channel on ENB but the problem here is that all color info of the clouds would be lost. Remember, I perverted the enbeffectprepass.fx, a simple post process sharer file with fixed structure, to do as many calculations as a full blown Minecraft shader pack with dozens of passes and textures to read and write. Sure those optimizations would be possible in a different environment but with ENB it's all I could do.

My time schedule does not allow me any longer to spend so much time on a field that does not benefit my career so even though I can write almost every possible shader effect, learning all the stuff needed in the background in order to write a graphics hook is not possible anymore. I'd be better off writing some unity assets tbh but that's not what I want. But as I don't want to give up gaming and graphics modding in general, I can only focus on ReShade (being game independent so I don't have to learn how to mod any game, knowledge that is uber useless) or ENBSeries for other games (as I'm more familiar with its structure than almost everyone, I think the people who know it better besides Boris are less than 5 people, I am aware of 2).

Then don't edit it, obviously. I made various precautions against unauthorized editing, your friend probably ran into one of them. Use it as is, it's that easy.

If you use lower than GTX 980 use ENB Z V2, MMGE 2 or MAC ENB 0.240
If you used GTX 1060-1080,Titan X then use this.

@blommas I am aware of *that* issue, water in those holes. The stock ENB water applies a shader onto every water, but that shader is old and ugly. For my own water shader, I can't read what pixel is water and what not, my only choice is to remove the current water (by making it invisible) and rendering my own water surface as a height map at the exact same place where the old one is. That means I have to make exceptions for every area where the water level does not match the ocean level (like "if world pos xy is like that, set water level to X). I did only the sherman dam area, water in glen park and the thing near the single player spawn. So water in holes like the one you show is just because MMGE 3 - as stated numerous times - is in unfinished release by request and this will not be fixed. The water isn't really there though, just enter that mine and you'll see. The water "effect" you get in the ocean is just seeing my water and the physics of the original game water which is invisible. Water being everywhere means that ENB for some reason reads the wrong ground level (ocean water level is worldpos Z = 0) so if the worldposition Z coordinate is shifted, water layer has a different height in the game world. Why that happens, I have no clue and I obviously can't fix it. I could move the water layer down but as I can't replicate the issue, I don't know how much.

Hey, amazing work on this mod. I'm having an issue that isn't crashing or low performance though. I installed the mod on a clean, freshly-downgraded SA install, used the Windows 8+ fix, and the game works perfectly fine but it doesn't look anything like the screenshots. It seems like it's loading default ENB for some reason. Cars have reflections and there's AO around every object but it looks nowhere near as good as your screenshots.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Disregard. Somehow it works now. Strange, but nice work on the mod, it looks beautiful.

I got 14fps on this. I went into the settings, and i found out that instead of using the 4060mb of video memory, it was using 228mb. I tried increasing it, and it won't let me. Went into enbseries.ini, and the amount of video memory the mod uses is nowhere to be found. How exactly do i fix this issue?

Your fps are normal. And the fact that GTASA uses that low amount of ram is also normal, without a memory fix this is the usual range.

Yes, buy a faster card. Accept the fact that GTASA engine is old, effects of MMGE 3 cannot be optimized like in current game engines due to limitations of ENBSeries, and MMGE 3 is actually unfinished.

PBR is physically based rendering. The textures you name are normal maps and specular maps, they just control the PBR effect per material. I've set those parameters globally, and generate my normals from the color input on the fly.
