Description

Naked Snake (with bandana, eyepatch and all camouflages) converted directly from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The model and texture are original, both extracted directly from the original game folder.

The character's hand fits the weapons very well.

Some parts of the legs are very stiff when the legs are bent, however this is due to the fact that the model has few vertices in the areas that move during leg rotation. The same goes for the arms.

A modder called diegoforfun has already posted the skin of the same character here on GTAinside, however, the version he posted, apparently, is the one used in cutscenes. This version of him, in addition, does not have all the equipment that the skin used in-game has, for example, additional pockets on the waist. The version I posted, on the other hand, is the in-game version. So mine has all the equipment. From this it is clear that I did not copy, repost or reuse his mod to make my own and consequently there was no copyright infringement of diegoforfun. Another modder called sidneymadmax also made a version of the same character for GTA SA and posted it on DeviantArt, however, his version is HD, with the 3D model and texture improved. My version is the PS2 original and without modifications or improvements, therefore, my version is not a copy, repost or reuse of his. Thus, there was no infringement of the copyright of sidneymadmax. In addition to downloading my version, try theirs, they are great too.

Below is a detailed list with names of each Naked Snake camo and the pedestrians they replace:

Tiger Stripe - cwmyhb2 (ID: 200)
Tree Bark - wbdyg1 (ID: 24)

Each camo replaces a pedestrian and can be found throughout the GTA SA map. In most cases, the replacements were made according to the camo. Thus, you'll find Naked Snake with desert camo in the desert, Naked Snake with jungle camo in the jungle, and so on. Three predominantly green camo replaces all members of the Grove Street Families. Have fun finding all the camo.

Updates

Version 1.1 (February 12th, 2025): The bug with legs being too close together has been resolved. Now Naked Snake's legs are properly straight.

Version 1.2 (February 23rd, 2025): A small part of the hair had the wrong texture and a polygon on the clothing was inverted. Now, these bugs are fixed.

Version 1.3 (September 10th, 2025): The model has been completely overhauled and bugs have been eliminated. All camouflages are now included.

@Maurilo_PredatorYou can give me advice. Didn't you learn how to transfer models from other games to GTA through some guides? On YouTube for example.

@TRUEGARRY I use 3DS Max, but many people use Blender. Generally, those who make mods use the program they master the most. Ah, thanks for the rating on the mod

@Maurilo_Predator Aren't you using 3DS MAX to transfer the Snake model to GTA SA? I just want to learn this myself soon...
