Description
Quotes:
"Do not mock me, puny Earthlings! Your fate is sealed!"
"Insolent human! You are no match for the power of Mysterio!"
"You will meet your end in my funhouse of doom!"
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses... so that I can enslave them all!"
"You may have foiled my plans this time, Spider-Man. But I'll be back. I promise you that!"
"Klaatu barada nikto!"
Mysterio is a villain that uses illusions in his crimes. This version of Mysterio appeared in the video game Spider-Man 2.
Quentin Beck was a special effects expert.
Beck challenged Spider-Man to a friendly competition and the two of them fought in a stadium full of people. However, Spider-Man was able to defeat and humiliate Beck.
Sad and angry at his humiliation, Beck later took the identity of Mysterio (who in this game pretended to be an alien from another planet as part of his act) and attacked people at an auditorium which caught the attention of Spider-Man.
Spider-Man quickly arrived at the auditorium and was able to rescue Mysterio's hostages. However, after the hostages were saved Mysterio revealed to Spider-Man that he sent several robots to attack the Statue of Liberty. Spider-Man was able to stop this attack.
Mysterio later lured Spider-Man to his "Fun House of Doom" and puts Spider-Man through several challenges such as duplicates of Spider-Man in the mirrors. Spider-Man is able to beat Mysterio's challenges. However, Mysterio was able to escape.
Mysterio was later caught by Spider-Man robbing a convenient store. However, Spider-Man was easily able to defeat him. Mysterio was then arrested.
Mysterio was voiced by two different actors, James Arnold Taylor and Dee Bradley Baker, Dee Bradley Baker was for the pc port of the game.
Dee Bradley Baker previously voiced the young Destroyer in Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
Mysterio was going to be a villain in Spider-Man 4 but the movie ended up being cancelled. Bruce Campbell, who had cameos in all of the previous three Spider-Man films, was cast to play him.
And now I bring you another memorable and funny villain from the 2004 Spider-Man 2 video game, not the PS4/PS5 version. Ah, I remember this vile villain. He was "difficult" to defeat, although I had a lot of fun taking him down with a single punch; he was the best boss of all.
