First post, automan! I want to start by saying that you are my modding MESSIAH. Nobody puts out the quality of work you do. Question for you: I noticed in your most recent mods, you fixed the Android transparency problem. Is there a trick to using something in those mods to fix it in older ones (like this one)? All I have is IMGtool and TXDTool on android. Might be able to do something on PC if it's not too involved. KEEP MODDING!biggrin

Welcome! biggrin
I am Automan your modder, you will have no other modder besides me! lol
Transparency operations, in addition to textures with TXDf * ck, are on the 3D .dff file: all functions on the transparent material must be removed, but a modeling program is required, ZM2 or 3DSMax... smile

@AutomanAww, man! Thou art tempting me to go even farther down the modding rabbit hole! Maybe one day when you slow down cranking out the awesomeness, you could revisit some "select" models for us Android slackers?

Just tried your upload. Perfect! I know you don't do a lot of Android testing, but thought it might help to know that the way I got transparency was to use the standard dff (for PC) and the new textures you uploaded for me. I now have transparency with environmental reflections! goodLaughlolbiggrinbiggrin

In reality I do not have SA Android for test... biggrin
(Many do not like the environmental reflections on Android).

Hey, automan! I know this is probably not the best place to ask this, but I thought I'd seek your "professional advice" (my Google-fu seems to have failed me in a big way).
Two words: swinging chassis. I know it's a problem in the PC version, and in the Android version, EVERY car, has the problem--even with your handling configs installed and active. It seems like something you wouldn't tolerate in your own game, so I wanted to ask if/how you fixed it, and if there is a way to fix it through the handling.cfg file or something. Thanks for tolerating a noob!

"Swinging chassis" is a parameter of Handling, but in 12 years I have never used it ...
I believe that no sane modder uses it.
If it is a problem with all cars, it probably depends on the dynamic management of SA vehicles, regardless of the setting files.
But the real point is: what do you mean exactly with the swinging chassis?... The car imbalance when cornering?...
Or?... smile

@Automan Dude. I just realized that I have no idea what I'm talking about. Apparently the problem I have is not with swinging chassis (found the flag in the editor, and realized it's not even active). The effect I'm talking about is the "bouncing" effect when the vehicles accelerate. Is it normal, and is there any way to get rid of it? I've thoroughly raped my handling.cfg to try to solve the problem--even stiffened suspension almost completely, but you can imagine the effects that has. dash

As I said, it depends on the physics of the game.
You tried the only solution, but yes, then the car becomes a kangaroo.
The kangaroo effect is attenuated with 'Damping level' values from 5.0 to 50.0.
The rigid suspension (0.05) is a necessity for sports cars, otherwise the wheel exceeds the fender. However, the physics of the game works badly, so little can be done.
(The kangaroo effect also has big vehicles, with lbig Collision; a large 'Turn mass' must also be used, mass 5000 -> turn mass 25000).
