Tired of the bland, flat landscapes of San Fierro and the surrounding areas, I decided to start a project inspired by @Larcius's Forests of San Andreas.

This first release contains 8782 hand placed trees around San Fierro, Flint County, and north into Bayside and Tierra Robada.
Almost every tree currently uses the same model, as I have yet to randomize the tree variations.
This first release is intended as a proof of concept, a learning experience for myself, and as a stability test for general players.

You will NEED to download the San Fierro and Las Venturas DLC 2.0 by GTABelgium.

This mod can either be found in the pinned messages on his Discord server, or as one of the addon maps as part of Elcreador's map expansion project, Liberty City V Remix.

This mod without other mods applied works with the original gameconfig.xml and without any heap adjustment.
However, if you are using multiple mods it might be the case that at some point you need to adapt the gameconfig.xml and/or the heap (that is a general statement and is not specific to this mod).
If you are unsure just give it a try without changing the gameconfig.xml and the heap. In case you then experience crashes please install these add-ons as well:

His scripts were used to generate distance models, calculate collisions, and generate FPS-friendly map files that wont destroy your GPU when playing with the mod.

Installation via OIV

Simply extract the file "Forests of Flint County.oiv" anywhere you want and use OpenIV -> Tools -> Package Installer to install the mod.
Selecting "mods" folder as location is recommended.

Uninstallation via OIV

Simply extract the file "Uninstall Forests of SFLV.oiv" anywhere you want and use OpenIV -> Tools -> Package Installer to uninstall the mod.
Please be sure to select the same location (mods or game folder) you did on installation.

Manual installation

- Create a new folder "sflvtrees" in Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks
- Extract the file "Forests of Flint County v*.oiv" and open it with a ZIP program (like 7zip, WinZIP, WinRAR, ...)
- Extract content\dlc\dlc.rpf to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\sflvtrees
(so finally there must be Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\sflvtrees\dlc.rpf)
- Use OpenIV to edit Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml
- Add new line

Revert the steps from section "Manual installation":
- Use OpenIV to edit Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\dlclist.xml
- Remove any line like

- Go to Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks and remove the folder sflvtrees
