Yacht static object converted into boat vehicle. Lots of work was put into this. Mainly because this was my very first project and i screwed up some steps in beginning. Thats like you buy your first set of screw drivers and your first project is building nuclear submarine. Ohh well. - Rooms were added where fake windows used to be, doors are opened up, all areas accessible. Completely scratch collision model so u can walk almost everywhere, but i tried to keep it as small as possible for game stability. Opened/closed doors and windows blinds as extras. Keep in mind: on boats extras, collision don't interact with peds. So closed door will reflect bullets, but you can walk through it, unfortunately.

This version is with NO bullet holes, only glass will crack. It's either that, or model alone will be 3Mb, but bullets would show on very few places anyway, due to not enough detailed collision and lots of interior nonreflective material i want to use, which doesn't draw bullet holes. I did copy this system from" louping0's" models and since it can't do bullet holes in many places, i decide to use it to keep low size.

You can't land helicopter on it. Boat collision and heli collision don't like each other too much. Handling is purposely made so ship is not too fast and steers very slow. If you need to do sharp slow turn, use handbrake. You must change BOTH lines otherwise it will not float normally. IDE has changed flags for extras and engine sound, must be changed for extras to show correctly. Two main colors are paintable, i only used those resembling original boat.

Now SPAWNING. I include changed spawning spots. If you don't replace them, boat will spawn into objects, because it's too large. So new spawning points were created and some removed, use SparkIV to replace them. MAKE BACKUP before replacing them.

I recommend replacing TUG only, since it's not made to spawn in traffic, and all spawning locations are named to it.

---Light sources can't be linked to lighting so they don't go off with it. I will keep fixing this model and add more stuff to it. At least more window blinds and collisions detail.

Booted up GTA 4 again not too long ago, been modding the !@#! out of it. This is an awesome mod... I tweaked the handling a bit so it goes faster and picks up quicker and lowered mass down to about 25% of what it as. (I have a very powerful rig and it handles great!)

Only suggestions I might have for this... I tried pulling a car onto the back, as it looked more than big enough to pull one onto, and the space behind the back in the lower part looks like it'd make a great vehicle storage. Problem is, it kept acting like an invisible wall... I even tried jumping a car from a higher platform and onto the boat... it seemed to hit an invisible dome barrier that it slid down and fell off the back into the water. (Also, a small ramp that expands out and down from the back would be awesome.)

Would it be possible to make it so cars can be loaded on this and removing the invisible barrier? Or is the invisible barrier needed to make it work correctly?

Might also be awesome if it could be scripted to save vehicles and perhaps act as a portable safehouse... but that might be a bit of work, lol.

EDIT - Also, since the helipad is unusable (unless you manage to make it work... perhaps the invisible barriers are what's keeping the helicopter from landing correctly?)... why not modify it to be a hot-tub that can be sat and chilled in... or perhaps even just some sort of lounge area, or maybe put some sort of playable game there like a pool-table, heh. good

You can increase file size to make collision better. File size does not matter. biggrin

There are lots of easy tutorials how to make a vehicle added instead of replacing something. I just put yacht instead of tuga in the lines and it works fine. Use this...

It's very drivable. But it's still a yacht, so it goes slow and turns slow. If you have a trainer that enables "honk boosting" you can use that to relocate quickly. It's easy to go to the bridge to drive it, and "exit car" just makes you let go of the controls so you can walk around and explore. There's no clipping or teleporting needed, and you won't "fall through" anywhere. Several decks to explore and use your imagination.

There's a helipad. But don't spawn your heli right there or it will make your yacht disappear. It's better to teleport on a nearby beach, spawn a heli, fly back and land. Loads of fun.

BTW, if Tall70 is still around, and I can get his permission, I'm thinking of furnishing this baby so that all the decks are not empty. It might make it more polys and a larger file size. But it's 2024, so most systems can handle it. If I finish it and Tall70 says it's okay, I'll upload it.

@AlconburyBlues the dude Zombietech tech says if it is possible to remove the barrier that prevents other vehicles from being placed on the ship. sorry
