Description

Hello, This is a mod for GTA 3 that aims to fill in the gaps and voids around Liberty City. Adding in shops signs, interiors, alleyways, rooftop access and other details. All in (hopefully) the style of the original game as if it could have always been there. This is not and will not be a HD texture mod. The mod has some small sexualised bits in it because of the Red Light District...and it's GTA anyway. As a another note, AI was used for some billboards and the diner menus, but nothing else. I am no artist like that. If anyone wants to make a more handmade version of these things, then go ahead. Other graphics taken from real businesses, other PS2 games (Like True Crime New York, Driver: Parallel Lines, The Warriors.) and some I attempted myself.

I would like to expand into gameplay in the future. So far there are alternate routes and pick ups to collect. One area I had to move a hidden package. (as I changed a grassy area into some flats.) I also wish one day, to work out car and pedestrian pathing for some of these opened up areas.

So far only Portland has been altered. I do however, want to move onto modifying the next two islands as well. I have now begun editing Staunton Island. So far the north part of it.

Some of the map has minor issues such as misalignment and odd lighting (but that was always in the game anyway) and I do want to fix as much as that as I can. There is an issue with alpha transparency. When the mod is placed in the modloader folder things can be seen through other things, other things can't. I am not sure of the setting in the IDE files for this. Nothing I have changed there seems to help. Works fine if I replace the files directly, and click a button in Med mapper but I can't find the solution otherwise. And I don't want people replacing original files if they don't have to. At a point I will move onto doing Staunton Island.

To install it, make sure your game is mod ready and has a modloader folder to place my mod in. Just put the file XegsGTA3MapMod.rar file in there.

I don't know about anyone else, but I used Badinfos guide on getting the game mod ready. I stopped at the step before Sky GFX. Everything else is just other peoples fun mods.

I hope my map mod works and looks at least halfway good as I figure out the whole modloader placement thing.

I fixed a texture on a building, nothing too big.

@6inchesHardHey I'm glad you got it to work. I'd have to get their permission to include them. Or another way is I could make an alternate version without those interiors. But primarily I'm working on just getting it finished.

I got it to work, my issue was that Xevengar interiors mod was conflicting with this as they share some interiors like punk noodles, if you could please manage your mod to work with Xevengars, like for instance, Xevengars luigi interior is better and same with punk noodles, I like your extra stores and lights added, but if you add Xevengars interiors as well this mod would be super dope.
