GTAinside: Upload Bug fixed
06.02.2014, 20:59
Autor: Alex

We had a small bug in the upload formular: It wasn't possible to upload files when using Google Chrome or Internet Explorer because special characters were detected by mistake. The bug is fixed now. If you tried to upload mods today and it didn't work, please try it again. It should work now!

Simply use the brand-new contact formular:
http://www.gtainside.com/en/contact.php

Thank you very much. Your skin mods will go online then.

@CFPoliceMods:

Your uploaded RAR archive only consist of a texture file. But in order to install your skin mod, you also need the model file. Well, I need the URL where to download the model.

Alex what do you mean by this? "Hello CFPoliceMods,

I've dropped you an email some days ago. I'm missing a download URL of the model files. Could you add the download url in your readme files when uploading skins? That would make it much easier for people to install your mods.

Greets,
Alex"

Okay. Thank you, IForgotPassword. Sounds like a nice idea.

I will check that! Maybe that feature is realizable.

@Alex - It works simple (using Mediafire as example): You have two upload options:
a) from computer
b) from web.
For a) I don't have to explain, b) you just have to paste the link, and pre-build script downloads file from one database to another. That's how I mostly upload files from here to MFire.
Well, I'm not a webmaster, so I can't say you how do it works in "code"

Hello CFPoliceMods,

Hi,

I have uploaded mods but they just seem to be sitting there. They have not be looked at or approved i think. Sorry if this sounds like i am being impatient but im not, im just wondering.

Could you describe that Mediafire upload thing, IForgotPassword?

How is it supposed to work?

And it will be nice for people with slow connection, to upload files from other sites, for example Mediafire.

There's little one, also in upload form. Maybe it's not bug, but whatever...
In "Author URL:" it's needed to put all the http://... thing, when before "Relaunch" it was not needed.
